The Implementation team is responsible for the initial build to on-board a property so they are bookable as quickly as possible. Our standard implementation time is 18 days from start to finish allowing properties to be bookable on the GDS at that time. Our team does the majority of the build for the client so that the property is set up to succeed from the beginning.

After the property has been built, the Implementation team works to educate and empower the properties on how to use our Central Reservations System. During the implementation process, we also serve as consultants to make sure the property has the right tools in place to maximize their revenue opportunities.

Who Is the Implementation Team?

The team is lead by the Director of Training, Tari Barker, who has a background in sales, marketing, and training. The department is comprised of Implementation specialists who bring a wealth of experience in hotels, customer service and business so they can apply their understanding of the industry to the client experience. All members of the implementation team are also trained to be trainers.

According to Tari Barker, “We understand what you are going through and our goal is to make the process as simple as possible.”

What’s In the Future for Implementation?

The implementation team is always looking for new ways to help our clients succeed. This year, we will be introducing additional training options which will include eLearning modules, step by step instructions and user manuals. The goal is to provide training and support whenever it is needed and not just during the initial implementation process. The team is excited about these changes and hope our clients are just as excited.

December 8 saw the team members and their guests celebrating the Holiday Season at the annual holiday party. Kristin Intress, CEO, welcomed a record crowd with gifts, food, fun, and a presentation that shared the highlights of the company and plans for the future. During the presentation, Kris welcomed several new team members, including the newest members who joined the team. She discussed the need for everyone to pull together and stay connected as the company continues to grow and ended her presentation by sharing how TravLynx will also be giving back to the community by working with the Sumner County Women’s Shelter.

This year, Kristin Intress, CEO of TravLynx was named a finalist in the category of Female Entrepreneur of the Year – Business Products- 11 to 2,500 Employees. Over 1200 entries were submitted this year for consideration for a Stevie Award, in categories such as, “Executive of the Year”, “Entrepreneur of the Year”, “Women Helping Women”, and “Communications Campaign of the Year”. All together, there were more than 90 categories with finalists being selected by more than 130 business professionals. The awards will be determined by five final judging committees.

“We’re very excited about this year’s finalists in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the Stevie Awards.  “The judges have told me that they think this is the best and most inspiring crop of nominees we’ve ever had.  We look forward to seeing the judges’ final decisions.”

Motivated by Gigi Filippi, the TravLynx Wellness team, coordinated by Andrea Scruggs has been making an impact on the workplace. The focus of the wellness committee is to encourage employees to make lifestyle changes that will help them live healthier lives. Some of tools that are provided include information focused on the  Fruit/Vegetable of the month. Pictures of the selected item, along with information are posted on company bulletin boards and shared in the breakroom. The Wellness team has several exciting things in the work for the coming year, too.

In addition, Gigi and members of the team have been featured in the HBO documentary, “Weight of the Nation” which was also nominated for an Emmy.
